About Us
Welcome to the Community Center. No there’s nothing here yet but a patch of cyberspace and a dream. But dreams and visions are the foundations of great works. With a clear vision and intention we shall build our center.

Intention

The Community Center will be an interactive website that brings together the many points of light in Connecticut, a place where people can tap into all Connecticut’s holistic and spiritual resources and feel part of a larger community. It will inform, entertain, educate and connect. The emphasis will be on spiritual/metaphysical.

Behind The Scenes

How will people find the Community Center? Why will they return?

•Listers will use their email lists and websites to drive people to the Community Center.

• When people visit they will be invited to sign up for an email newsletter. This will create a statewide email list; something that doesn’t now exist. There will be strict controls on how often info is sent.

• Might send a weekly, biweekly or monthly e-mail to the full list which would include:
    • Major upcoming events.
    • Major CT news items.
    • Short articles on interesting things like Messages From Water with links for more.
    • Writeup on one of our centers.
• If we have good features and content people visiting will feel part of a larger community and there will be ways they can feel involved.

How will it be financed?

• Most of money raised goes for advertising A New Choice, the second website.
    • Intention is to keep expenses to a minimum by encouraging donations of money and labor.
    • This is a service project with no paid employees, including me.
    • Website development, graphic arts, publicity and marketing donated in exchange for listing as a business resource. Use multiple developers, each making a small contribution.
• Income sources - Primarily those who stand to benefit financially.
    • Listers who are major centers benefit most and pay more.
    • Listers who just want their name on a page, and may be a second tier.
    • Sponsors such as retail stores who may get highlighted in newsletter.
    • Avoid ads selling advertising or services.
    • Donations to transform and reach community.
